This was one of my most rewarding endeavours of the year
We overheard one young lady say to a friend ' I've always wanted to come to a place like this but didn't think I ever would'
That is what this day is about.. planting the seeds of what is possible in young minds and a memory of what it is like to go in to the office, in the morning, to a job/business/career you love, get collected by your personal driver and head to one of the best restaurants in London, get advice from some of the most successful people in your field, live your dreams every single day!
Sophia,
Yesterday was one of best moments of my life since the research into the Caribbean Scene concept started over 5 years ago in March 2003!
It actually brought a few private tears when a 15 year old boy came up and shook my hand – I saw hope and gratitude in his eyes!
Sophia, I think that you; your team at Young Voices and the Voice are doing a wonderful job by your involvement and interaction with these young people.
By creating a model group of youngsters they in turn will radiate the virtues of good citizenship to other more challenged youngsters.
It was particularly reassuring to see well known faces in the media turning up to support the youngsters; people like Geoff Schumann; Kat; and Jerry Bascombe. They interacted very well with the young people and you could see the happiness; fun and laughter on the faces of the youngsters.

My children and my closest friends. Unconditional Love is the most powerful healer in existence. Just a few words of wisdom from a child, or support from a loving friend can make the world of difference.
